After having purchased the services of several web hosts at different times, I would like to detail the good and not so good capabilities of each one, with comparisons. Please note that web hosting services should not be confused with web registrars. Although most hosting services have the capability of registering a website for you, I have been told by many internet marketers that it is best to select one for registering your site and another for hosting your site.
I would also like to point out that web hosts featuring cpanel are the most user friendly. Cpanel is a facility that has several clickable icons for managing files, reporting web traffic, setting up wordpress blogs and several others. When clicking some of these icons you will be redirected to sites for attracting visitors, for website designers and other paid services that you might be interested in.
Here is a list of the web hosts that I have used in the past.
Host4Profit – In my experience, this hosting service was the least user friendly of any. They have a wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) design interface that I found very difficult to get along with. Perhaps at that time I was not experienced enough to use is properly. They advertise getting paid for using their service but actually this is just a form of affiliate marketing. You can add any number of additional sites to your Host4Profit service for a cost of $5.00 each per month on top of your original charge.
Host Monster – The hosting service that I use for this particular site, a very good hosting service that uses cpanel and provides an unlimited number of add on sites without additional costs. See their ad on the left side panel for more information.
Netfirms – This was the first webhost that I ever used. I registered my site here and also hosted with them before I found out that I should not do that. They do not have cpanel available but everything they do have is quite user friendly including being able to create websites with WordPress. If you are not using wordpress for your sites I find that this is an excellent and inexpensive service to use for Sales Pages where no blog maintenance is necessary once the page is set up.
I hope this information is helpful to anyone seeking the best for building websites and blogs.
